3 years ago by Cynthia Ann Williams.

Many women experience leakage from weal bladders and I would like to turn this around at the age of sixty- six - before it becomes a problem - may we get some much-needed help in this area.

Exercices to strengthen pelvic floor muscles would be a great addition to the workouts. I was on the medication and it caused blurry vision. I dumped those pills.

I have this problem at 77 and would love some exercises if that would help instead of taking pills!

This is most definitely a problem many millions of woman face every single day and many are embarrassed to talk about it there are a lot of things out there they help with this but honestly they don’t work. Strengthening the pelvic floor muscle everyone says it what needs to be done but what really works to do that? This issue is note only embarrassing but humiliating. To think the main reason. Many of us woman suffer from this and prolapsed bladder issues is from giving birth especially vaginal multiple births . Who knew it would feel like a punishment many years later. You know I remember after giving birth with my first child told to do kegals but never told the reason why, so your young an d think yea ok now years later I only wish I knew

I believe every women, as she gets older and had children, has issues with this. A sudden cough, sneeze, or even laughter can result in unwanted leakage. I would love to see some pelvic floor exercises to help minimize this concern as we get older. No surgery or meds for me now, and don't want any in the future, but some exercises would be most appreciated. Thanks

I think this would help all us women before the problem comes. My sister in law has this. I think it’s the kegel exercises. Perhaps this exercise can be combine with other short exercise.?

I am in favor of this type of exercise, tho the Kegel is pretty easy to incorporate with these exercises.

Seniors are on a lot of medicine, some of which constipate and straining at stool pushes on the urinary tract. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Sadly, we do not do a pelvic tightening after bowl movements. In Silver Sneakers, pelvic tightening was always part of the routine

There are some things we can and should do for ourselves. This is one of them.

I think this is a great idea because women of all ages can have this problem and many don't even tell their doctors about it. I'm a retired nurse & many women don't know their are ways to fix this problem starting with exercise and ending with minor surgery that is done out-pt and is so worth it! But start with exercise ladies, that's definitely the best way first!

I need this badly. I have put off surgery, and this might would help me not to have to ever have surgery. I know about Kegels exercises, but I never do them.

Alison@lauriat.com 3 years ago

If your focus is, in large part, seniors, then this would be a good addition to the program! Even if it doesn’t get as many votes as other choices, I think it ought to be part of this program.

Georgine Jeziorowski 3 years ago

This is a great idea! I need much help to strengthen the weak bladder at age 82. I do not have a problem during the day. Only at night!

Kathy Cox-Dain 3 years ago

Good idea

Susan Williams 3 years ago

This is a great idea - I went to physical therapy to work on this but would be great to have a regular series so women could do this on their own...

Mary 3 years ago

Males also benefit from Kegels. The exercises support pelvic muscles and prostate health.

Cindy Laughery 3 years ago

I cannot get on the floor!!!!!

Barbara Laughlin 3 years ago

I agree with Isabel. Why don’t we just google Kegel exercises.

Kristy Wade 3 years ago

This would be awesome!!!

Isabel 3 years ago

I like it! Altho it would be a little weird coming from a male!!
